I have mixed feelings about this place. I needed my radiator replaced and saw great reviews so I took my car to Pats garage. I needed it fixed before a road trip to LA and that was a week and a half from the time I dropped off my car. They were busy but still offered to take in my car, which I appreciate. Their diagnostic report is really awesome. They provide a detailed electronic copy with pictures and lots of information which I’ve never seen any other mechanic do. When I got my car back (in time), the horn was no longer working which I noticed on my road trip to LA. I was a bit frustrated because I’m already a nervous driver and now I was stuck on a long road trip with a non functioning horn. I took my car back to Pats and they said the issue was that wire wasn’t plugged in properly and because my car is older and had some rust the connection wasn’t great (I assume the wire came loose when they were replacing the radiator). They still charged me $95 for diagnostics. I don’t like conflict so I paid the fee. However, I am pretty frustrated because the way I see it, the horn was totally fine when I gave it to them, the car was returned with a non functional horn, and then they charged me to fix the problem that they created. For context, they usually charge ~$190 for diagnostics, so $95 was discounted because it was an easy fix. But in my opinion I shouldn’t have been charged anything. The car should never have been returned to me in that state. Although I love the detailed service reports, I will not be returning because I think the way they dealt with the horn issue is very unprofessional.

I went early today with a newly found flat tire and a baby in my arms. At the reception desk, Diane was exceptionally kind and organised the review of my car within minutes. The person who fixed my car today - I could only see your black ponytail - thank you so much, you are an angel! Pat's garage have won me over with their honesty and quality service.

My car broke down on the freeway on a Sunday and I had it towed to Pat's because I knew they would be able to help and would have a parking spot for me. On Monday when I called them they got straight to work diagnosing the problem. As usual, they were very clear about what absolutely needed to get done for the car to function safely and what was a nice to have (My car is old and not worth a lot so it's good to have all my options given to me clearly!) I really trust them to tell it to me straight. The car was fixed in no time and everyone is so friendly. Thanks Pat's!
